In order to launch from boot, Screens Connect needs to install a helper tool, which requires administrative rights and that you enter your Mac user password. If you get an error such an error during the installation:
CFErrorDomainLaunchd error 2
This means that you've cancelled the installation. Restart your Mac and re-launch Screens Connect, making sure to allow the helper tool installation.
If you keep getting this error, follow these steps:
- Go to Applications > Utilities > Terminal to bring up a command prompt
- Type the following:
sudo mkdir /Library/LaunchDaemons
sudo mkdir /Library/PrivilegedHelperTools
- Close Terminal, launch Screens Connect.

The helper tool was somehow disabled by mistake. Please follow these instructions to solve the issue.
