At the moment, Screens does not natively support the Raspberry Pi 5 platform due to Raspberry Pi's adoption of the default Wayland environment on Debian (Bookworm).
If you rely on accessing your Raspberry Pi via VNC, we advise against upgrading to Bookworm at this time.
For those already on Bookworm, a temporary solution is to enable the X11 option:
- Open Terminal on the Pi or connect to it via SSH.
- Execute the command:
raspi-config - Navigate to Advanced Options and then select Wayland.
- Choose X11 and confirm your selection.
- Reboot the Pi when prompted.
While we cannot provide a precise delivery date, we are committed to ensuring compatibility with RPi 5 sometime in 2024.
