Shared Clipboard
You can enable this feature in Screens’ app settings, to automatically share the clipboard content between your iPhone, iPad, Vision Pro or Mac and the remote computer. Anything copied on either your iPhone, iPad, Vision Pro or Mac will automatically be transferred over the network to the other clipboard.
If you disable Shared Clipboard, you must manually transfer content via the Send Clipboard and Get Clipboard action buttons.
You can locate the Clipboard buttons on the connection window toolbar in Screens for Mac or in the Actions menu within the interactive toolbar in Screens for iPhone, iPad or Vision Pro.
Configuration
You'll find Shared Clipboard under the app settings under Controls.
Supported Content Types
To a Mac
While connected to a remote Mac, you can share content including images, rich and plain text, and URLs. Any unsupported content will be transferred as plain text.
To a Pc
Only plain text can be transferred to/from a Windows, Raspberry Pi or Linux PCs.
Note: Some VNC servers, such as the built-in VMware VNC server, may not fully support clipboard transfers or might only allow sending text. If clipboard sharing is important to you, we recommend installing a VNC server on your VM or PC that fully supports this feature, such as TightVNC, UltraVNC, or TigerVNC.
