Since iOS 14, iOS now prompt users in order to allow or disallow apps to find and connect to devices on your local network:
In order for Screens, TouchPad and NumPad to work, you need to allow them to access your local network. Not doing so will prevent the apps to connect to your computers.
In order to make sure that local network access is granted, you can open the Settings app and browse to Privacy > Local Network:
Make sure that the apps are allowed. You can also access this setting via the Settings app and scroll down to Screens, TouchPad or NumPad:
