Yes, I know "ScreenSync" is an application I downloaded from the Internet.

Running Mac OS Lion and Screens Connect 1.7.

Every time I restart or log in a notification pops up telling me "ScreenSync" is an application downloaded from the Internet, asking me if I am sure I want to open it... and I click 'open'. Clicking on 'show web page' brings me to an empty Safari window, cause no url seems to be pushed.

How do I get rid of this popup?

Cheers.

    I've got the same issue.
There is a way to disable the message but I haven't tried it yet:

    Emiel,

This popup is being displayed by the OS and should only be shown once if you click on Open.

I know. And I usally get these kinds of popups only once per app (or dmg) but like I mentioned, I get this popup about ScreenSync every time I restart or log in. And every time I click on Open. Only with ScreenSync, not with other applications.

    Got a solution?

I'm running ScreenSync on a brand new clean installed MacBook Air.

I unfortunately have no solution for now... However, a major revamp is currently underway for Screens Connect and it fix this kind of behaviour.

Hopefully we'll be done by the end of the month...

    Hi All,

OS X should have flagged after you clicked open. You can remove the quarantine flag manually. Open Terminal and paste the following command : sudo xattr -r -d com.apple.quarantine {,~}/Library/PreferencePanes/Screens\ Connect.prefPane/Contents/Resources/ScreenSync.app

You may be prompt for your password.

Let me know if it fixes your issue!
