I downloaded screens to my Mac and set it to launch at login, but everytime I login, it asks me if I want to open it because it was downloaded from the Internet??

Usually this just happens the first time you launch a program, but this is happening every time.

    Jacob,

OS X should have flagged after you clicked open. You can remove the quarantine flag manually. Open Terminal and paste the following command :
    sudo xattr -r -d com.apple.quarantine {,~}/Library/PreferencePanes/Screens\ Connect.prefPane/Contents/Resources/ScreenSync.app

You may be prompt for your password.

Let me know if it fixes your issue!

Change the path with the one where you installed Screens Connect.

    Hi.
I just thought I would post and let you know that upon installation the .prefpane is not transferring itself into the above /dir.
I don't know if this is why it is incorrectly flagged to start with but I presume it would make things easier.

    Thanks
    Matt

    Hello,
I am having the same issue, but now it is causing a lot of hang ups. It will not let me "open" the update either, so i probably need to uninstall. Being new to MAC and not familiar with Terminal commands, i attempted to do the fix you gave, but i got the same "no such file". How do i uninstall screens connect?

A new version of Screens Connect will be out soon, which will get rid of that bug.
